SUMMARY:Serger Club\, 2nd Saturday of the Month
DESCRIPTION:Monthly Serger Club\nThe serger club meets on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00.  The club works on various projects ranging from leggings\, bags\, or jackets. \nAs we are closer to the class\, we will post specific information about the class. \nOnce you join the club\, you will be invited to join the private Facebook account where information about the club is shared\, tips for using your serger or general announcements for the group. \nThe club is open to all brands of sergers regardless of skill level.  Our approach is to learn by doing.   Projects are of various skill levels\, not to worry members of the club are available to assist you in completing the projects. \nWhen: November 3\, 2026 \nTime:  10:00 – 4:00 \nCost:  $Free; there may be a charge for a pattern or supplies needed for the project \n\nBring your serger and usual supplies (matching thread\, rotary cutter\, straight edge ruler\, scissors\, etc.).  Bring your serger and don’t forget your power cord.  We may have sergers available for you to use\, please give us a call if needed.\n\nRemember any items purchased at Miss D’s for class receive a 15% discount.  Let us know in advance if you will need supplies\, so that we can ensure we have what you need at hand.

SUMMARY:Stuido 180 Design - Rapid Fire Hunter's Star
DESCRIPTION:Miss D’s is excited to offer this class with a Certified 180 Instructor\, Marica Ely.  Marcia is an experienced educator for the 180\, Deb Tucker\, techniques.  She has been teaching in the SE for several years and we are fortunate she is coming to our shop. \nIn this class students will master the use of Studio180 Design’s Rapid Fire Hunter’s Star(Large Star Tool).  Students will learn all the techniques to complete each of the 4 blocks styles to be able to complete the Short Circuit quilt.  Students should be able to complete a fair number of blocks in class and finish the quilt at home. \nWhen: November 14\, 2026\nTime:  10:00 – 3:00\n\nCost:  $50.00; there may be a charge for a pattern or supplies needed for the project \nRuler:  The Hunter Star Large Tool needed for the class is $45.00\, you will save 15% when you purchase the tool at Miss D’s. \nMarcia will have 3 Hunter Star Tools available to rent for the class.  The fee is $5.00\, but remember if you don’t finish the quilt in class you will need a tool to complete the quilt at home. \nPattern:  Free download https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1456/3714/files/Short_Circuit.pdf \nFabric Requirements: These requirements for a lap size quilt. \n\nMediums and darks 28 – 2½” strips (1 Jelly Roll™) Jelly Roll Friendly\nBackground 2 yards\nOptional Inner Border [½ yard]\nOptional Outer Border [⅞ yard]\nBinding ½ yard\nBacking 2¾ [or 3½] yards\n\nCutting Instructions-Lap Size: \n\nJelly Roll:\nSelect 28 strips that contrast well against your background fabric.\nCut each in half at the fold to make 56 hwof strips.\nSeparate them into 3 piles-24 for pieced triangle\, 20 for star points\, 12 for\ntrapezoids. Label your piles.\nI used the remaining Jelly Roll Strips for a border and the binding. There are\nalso instructions for optional borders.\nTrim the trapezoid strips to 2 1/4”. Stop there.\nBackground Fabric:\nCut 4 strips 6 1/2’ x WOF\, sub-cut into 24 6 1/2” x 6 1/2” squares. Stop there\nCut 6 Strips 2 1/4” WOF.
