DESCRIPTION:Holiday surprise!\nFor November club – November 7th we will be embroidering on Paper towels and bathroom tissue. We will also make towel reindeers. All are so cute and make great for gifts before Christmas to decorate a friends’ home or bathroom. Just wait till you see them done.\n\nHere is a partial list: \n\n\n– 1 bath towel (nice and thick) – red or green or white \n– 1 wash cloth to match the towel \n\n\n– 1 roll of toilet paper (also nice and thick) – 1or 2 ply is too thin.  \n\n\n– Red felt ( I will bring that). \n\n\n– 1 roll of paper towels (2 ply or larger is better) \n\n\n– hoop – 240 X150 or similar size. \n\n\n– a design with your favorite Christmas and/or Thanksgiving saying – with thread to match – I have some I designed. You can makeup yours or use mine. (mine are legal since I made them up from stuff I have seen in magazines and online.) \n\n\n– 2 eyes (big) I will bring them as well \n\n\n– 1 fuzzy round ball (for the nose) – red green or white \n\n\n– 2 sprigs of floral stuff (I buy one that I like\, maybe holly or berries.  Then cut the part to use for the project). \n\n\n– 1 large bottle of glue. like fabric glue or elmers glue. \n\n\n– your machine with ALL its stuff – cord\, foot pedal\, feet\, etc. \n\nWhen: November 7th\, Saturday \nWhat to Bring:  Your embroidery machine\, your embroidery/sewing supplies and don’t forget your power cord and foot pedal. \nTime:  10:00 – 4:00 \nCost:  $35.00 includes instructor \nLunch:  Light Lunch Provided \nRemember any items purchased at Miss D’s for class receive a 15% discount.  Please let us know in advance if you will need supplies\, so that we can ensure we have what you need at hand. \nPlease remember to arrive at least 15 minutes early to set up for class.

Learn how drawing and muscle memory contribute to beautiful free-motion quilting\, and how you can create stunning designs.  If you love precision and consistency in your quilting rulers\, you will love using design rulers and templates! These handy tools assist in placing designs accurately and stitching them out precisely. SUMMARY:Serger Club\, 2nd Saturday of the Month
DESCRIPTION:Monthly Serger Club\n\nBy now you know\, I love my serger and love using it. This month for our October meeting\, we are making a three dimensional pumpkin. We will be working with several different serger stitches\, and a variety of whatever colors you choose to use.\n\n\nHere is a list of the supplies you will need to bring or buy it Miss D’s. If you wish to keep your pumpkin one color you will need 1/2 yard of fabric.  Two tone pumpkins\, will need 1/3 of each color. You could even bring an assortment of colors. You will need school glue\, 2 to 3 plastic drinking straws. Several Q-tips. A larger button and a small color fabric for your stem and leaves. \n\nI like to use Polyester fiber fill to stuff your pumpkin. If you have crazy\, Little used fabric scraps whatever you have to fill it up bring it along. Serger thread to match or contrast your fabric selections. You may want to do some hand stitching so make sure you have a few needles and thread to coordinate with your pumpkin. \n\nRemember to bring your serger\, foot pedal\, serger thread\, any extra serger feet\, and sewing supplies. If you happen to have a clear foot for your serger\, you may find that to be helpful. Lastly\, bring your threading guide and manual.\n\nMiss D’s does have polyester fill\, school glue and a variety of decorative threads that would be great for this project.\n\n\n\nI would love to see what projects you are making at home for show and share \, so bring them along. If you have any serger questions\, let’s try to figure it out together.\n\n\nPack a snack or lunch and a drink to refuel.\n\n\n\nI love my serger and I hope you will learn to love yours and use it more often. I hope to see you on Saturday\, October 10 at 10:00 AM at Miss D’s. DESCRIPTION:She is BACK!! Yes\, Betty Ann will be back with us on Saturday\, June 6th \nWe are all very excited about our June project.  It is pretty nifty project!  And\, it is an In The Hoop project from Sweet Pea Machine Embroidery.  The design name is “Embroidery Essentials Kit.” If you go online to Sweet Pea\, key the design name in the search box.  It should come right up.  The design cost $5.99. It is a little case that snaps shut and will hold small tools. Like needles\, scissors and the like.  It has a snap closure. Great for carrying to classes and stitching days.  The pictures are from Rikki showing her completed project.\nAs you can see\, Rikki stitched hers in purple and pink fabrics. She only used one color of embroidery thread.  Never changed colors!  Not once.  Of course\, you can if you want to.  Rikki is providing the cutting instructions of the 5×5 kit.
