DESCRIPTION:For the February our Make-N-Take will be the wallet using Accuquilt dies\, what a clever little wallet.  Jean will demonstrate cutting the pieces using Accuquilt.  Then you can quickly sew those pre-cut pieces while making this “designer” wallet. \nJean Genton is an Accuquilt Ambassador\, in her she travels to multiple shows each representing Accuquilt and provides educational information about their product.  As an Ambassador Jean teaches at every opportunity and she loves to come to our shop for our Make-N-Take. \nClass fee includes instructor and fabric. \nWhat to bring to class\, when bringing your own machine: \n\nSpools of regular sewing thread neutral colors\, include black for bobbin and top stitching\nBobbin thread or pre-wound bobbins\nMachine sewing needles\nStraight edge ruler\ncutting tools (rotary\, scissors\, snips\, etc.)\nDon’t forget your power cord\, foot pedal and your regular embroidery and sewing accessories\n\nWhen:  February 11th \nTime:  1:30 – 3:30 \nCost:  $30.00; per student \nRemember any items purchased at Miss D’s for class receives a 15% discount.  Please let us know in advance if you will need supplies\, so that we can ensure we have what you need at hand. \nProjects in the class will be similar but may not be the exact same as the pictures — the techniques will be the same. \n*** Miss D’s has machines available for you to use\, limited number.  Please call the shop to reserve a machine prior to class. ***

SUMMARY:Quilt Retreat Luther Springs\, February 20th thru 23rd
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for our first retreat of 2026\, our retreats are known for their fun and fellowship.  Your fee includes a hotel style room with private bath\, individual air conditioning and humidifier\, and all linens provided.  In addition\, to the comfortable rooms Luther Springs provides three filling meals a day.  While there is limited wifi and internet access\, our quilters have never minded the break from the constant interruptions from daily life.  For the quilter or sewist\, our sewing area is setup when we arrive and remains available 24 hours throughout our stay. \nBeverly and Debra provide guidance to help you get acquainted for your first stay\, frequently provide demonstrations for quilting techniques\, guide show & tell\, and very often games to keep everything fun. \nWhat to bring to class\, when bringing your own machine: \n\nSpools of regular sewing thread neutral colors\, include black for bobbin and top stitching\nBobbin thread or pre-wound bobbins\nMachine sewing needles\nStraight edge rulers or rulers for your specific projects\ncutting tools (rotary\, scissors\, snips\, etc.)\nDon’t forget your power cord\, foot pedal and your regular embroidery and sewing accessories\nYour projects\nAny personal items needed for comfort for your stay\n\nWhen:  February 20\, 2026 – February 23\, 2026 \nCost:  $365.00; private room or $290.00 for double occupancy
