Rope Bowl Class with Susan, Tuesday, March 25th

This is a fun class where you will have an opportunity to let your creativity go wild making a bowl with rope and fabric.  Then embellish it as you wish.  This is a beginner’s class where Susan will teach you the basics of how to coil your base, measure the rope, determine the width of your bowl, and how to guide your rope to make the sides.  Susan will discuss the keys to making your bowl your own by keeping the tension on the rope as you sew and suggestion of how to finish the bowl.

What to bring:

• Sewing Machine (don’t forget the power cord and foot pedal)
• Open Toe ZigZag foot
• Jeans needle or top stitch
• Scissors
• Thread:  Natural color or you might want to select colored rope, then you will need thread to match or contrast the colors.
• Optional:  ½” cut strips of fabric
• You will need to purchase a 25 yard bundle of rope.
