Embroidery Club, April 4, 2026, Saturday
April 4 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
$35.00
Hello everyone. Betty Ann had her open heart surgery on April 19th. She is home and doing well! For which we are so grateful. She will start training for a marathon soon! Well, at least she can almost walk to the mailbox! She is in good spirits and can’t wait to come back to teach! We won’t be doing software this month, but I am planning on doing some in June.
I will be teaching the Embroidery Club for May. We will be making kitchen towels to hang thru the handles of the stove or any other bar in your kitchen. Miss D has lots of toweling to choose from. It is finished on both sides. You will only have to hem the ends. Or you can purchase a ready made towel. Come prepared to put any design you like on yours. I am going to do a patriotic design in honor of our 250th birthday.
Needed supplies:
- Embroidery machine with power cord (yes, I have forgotten mine before) & foot pedal;
- Your design, with the correct size hoop & embroidery threads;
- Cut away stabilizer for the back of the towel;
- Wash away stabilizer for the front if you are using a “fluffy” towel (this is not needed for the toweling Miss D has);
- Your towel (or come a little early to purchase some toweling from Miss D);
- A fat quarter for the cuff;
- A little bit of batting (I will bring some scraps that you can use);
- A small piece of velcro (I have some white & black about 1″ wide I will bring).
- If you prefer, you can purchase a square potholder to use for the towel handle (see my example).
