If you missed last month’s club, you missed a great class. We did “reverse Applique” on pillow cases we made. And in July we will use either the same design we used in June or get a new “reverse Applique” for your Notebook Cover. Your cover will be made from cork.
The designs are from OESD under notebook covers. If you can’t find them, let me know and I’ll see if I can help.
Both the pillow cases and the notebook cover make a great gift for almost any occasion.
Materials needed: (Miss D’s has the supplies in shop if you don’t have it in your stash.)
– cork – 1 piece 11″ X 7.5″ – outside cover
– cork – 2 pieces 3″ X 7.5″ – inside flaps
– 1 piece fabric – 11” x 7.5” for inside lining* •
– 1 piece fabric – 5.5” x 7.5” for reverse applique
– 1 reverse applique design (I used the same one I used on my pillow case).
– Wash away stabilizer
– tear away stabilizer for hooping
– hoop – big enough for your design.
– Embroidery machine, sharp scissors, thread to match, pedal, cord or machine, etc.
Note –
– back all fabric with 101. (not cork)
*** – I have the notebook you will need for the project.
For August – we will be making a rooster wall hanging using glitter fabric. Everything you need will be in a kit. So much fun.
