This is our 1st Saturday of the month Viking Embroidery class with Betty Agnew. Betty has been selling and training Viking Sewing and Embroidery machines for many years. So, we know you will enjoy class and learn while working on your project.
This month Betty plans for us to use the Purely Gates Vintage Sewing Machine Pattern. We will select one of the many options in the pattern to make our Welcome Hanger for our sewing room. Then next month, we will select another of the sewing machine patterns to make a mylar version of the embroidery. Once you use the Purely Gates patterns you will find that you really enjoy using the mylar patterns in lieu of metalic threads all the time for a different “shiny” look.
Please bring a brown bag lunch. Miss D’s will provide drinks and chips.

What you need to bring:
We are going to take a vintage sewing machine pattern and turn it into a Welcome banner.
Item need:
– embroidery thread for your sewing machine pattern (bring as many colors as you like)
– several empty bobbins
– machine and all its tools (electric cord. foot pedal, accessories and tray)
– T pins (you will be surprised what a difference these pins will make in your embroidery.)
– stabilizer – wash-a-way and a stiff stabilizer (I use Peltex but any stiff stabilizer will work)
– scissors – large and small
– rotary cutter
– optional – small cutting mat
– tape – to hold your material in place
– hoops
– 260 X 200 or 360 X 200
– 240 X 150
Please note the time of the class. The shop opens at 9:00 so you will have time to set up.
