Janine Babich – Spring is in the Air, Embroidery Event, February 14 – 15, 2025

Miss D’s is excited to host Janine Babich again for another of her great embroidery classes.  This time it is for the newest of her creations – “Spring is in the Air”.

PLEASE NOTE; the supply list will be updated upon receipt of more detailed information Janine.  This class will fill quickly, so don’t waste anytime registering.

Spring is in the Air supplies:

You must have a hoop that has a stitch area of at least

5.25” x 8.25” (134mm x 210mm) to create this table runner.

Embroidery portion of class:

• Power cord
• Thread stand (if your machine requires)
• Embroidery bobbin case (if you use a different one for the embroidery process)
• Embroidery hoop (see above note), if you have two, bring both
• Embroidery presser foot
• USB stick
• 505 spray
• 80/12 sharp embroidery needles
• Bobbin fill
• 6” double curved embroidery scissors, I prefer the Gingher brand
• Thread snips
• Pellon 806 tearaway stabilizer (the shop will have yardage for purchase)
• Mesh type water soluble stabilizer (the plastic type will not work)
• Embroidery threads (the shop will be sending you a photo of the fabric kit to help
• in your thread selection):
• 3 shades of green for the leaves
• One color for the sweeping vine
• One color for the lettering
• 3 shades for the flowers (interior run stitch, flower center and satin stitch perimeter)

Construction portion of class:

• Sewing machine (if your embroidery machine is not your sewing machine)
• Sharp pencil
• 6” x 24” ruler (be sure to label your rulers & rotary cutter)
• 4” x 14” ruler
• 15” square ruler
• Rotary cutter
• Shears for cutting fabric
• Straight pins
• 80/12 sharp sewing needles
• Thread to match the border and backing fabrics
• Walking foot
• Standard 7mm or 9mm sewing foot

When: February 14th and 15th, Friday and Saturday

Time:  9:30 – 4:30 all days

Cost:  $185.00; fee includes light lunch (2 days), kit and instructor fee.

Kit Fee:  included in class fee: kit fabric will not match below, you will options to select from.

Please note the start time of the class, out of respect and courtesy for all attending, plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early so that you might be set up and ready to go at the start time.  If you need any assistance moving, loading, and setting up your machine, please let us know.

Please note:  Classes must be paid in advance, you are placed on wait list until class fees are paid.  Cancellations will be accepted until 10 days prior to class, you may be offered the option of store credit or refund.  Miss D’s will work with you every way possible.  No refunds or store credit available after this date.
