Introduction to Free Motion and Ruler Work on the Long-Arm

Free Motion Class will cover the following topics (morning):

1. Introduction to free motion quilting
2. Establish an Inventory
3. Resizing Designs
4. Transferring Designs to Fabric
5. Marking your Quilts
6. Batting and Thread
7. Machine Features to simplify FMQ
8. Adjusting tension and setting for optimal results

Ruler Class will cover the following topics (afternoon):

1. Understanding Safety with Quilting Rulers
2. Incorporating Rulers and Templates in Quilting
3. Reading Ruler Markings for Precision
4. Building Ruler Design Confidence
5. Basic Ruler Design Techniques
6. Applying Binding with the HQ Versa Tool

While Iris is a Handi Quilter educator this class is open to anyone who has a long-arm machine or considering a long-arm, regardless of the brand.

Class times:  10:00 – 4:00 pm

Lunch:  included in class fee
Fee:  $80.00
