Serger Club, 2nd Saturday of the Month

Monthly Serger Club

The serger club meets on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00.  The club works on various projects ranging from leggings, bags, or jackets.

For February we will be making a tote from the beautiful canvas fabric from Create Joy a designer for Moda.  Or, you can choose to bring something from your stash. We will be using the ladder stitch in several different decorative ways.  Fabric requirements are 22 or 24 inches by 40inches.  We have strapping at the shop for you to choose from.  Brings lots of colorful thread and if have 1/4 inch ribbon bring that.  We have some black and cream at the shop.  The thicker the thread the more interesting the design.

Once you join the club, you will be invited to join the private Facebook account where information about the club is shared, tips for using your serger or general announcements for the group.

The club is open to all brands of sergers regardless of skill level.  Our approach is to learn by doing.   Projects are of various skill levels, not to worry members of the club are available to assist you in completing the projects.

Cost:  $Free; there may be a charge for a pattern or supplies needed for the project

Remember any items purchased at Miss D’s for class receive a 15% discount.  Let us know in advance if you will need supplies, so that we can ensure we have what you need at hand.

Just a little note:  The Create Joy designer has quickly become a favorite at the shop.  The fabrics are bright, cheery and add beauty to every project.  Picture is of the canvas fabric, much prettier in person.
