Spring Embroidery with Janine, February 9th thru 10th, Friday and Saturday

Come join us for 2 days of fun with Janine Babich making beautiful embroidery.

Embroidery formats: ART5, ART6, DST, EXP, HUS, PES, SEW, SHV, Vp3 and XXX. Finished size: 16in in diameter.

A special 2-day workshop with Janine using great spring designs to brighten up any home.

The class fee includes kit and pattern.

Supplies:

HOP Into Spring Wall Hanging supplies:

• 5 x 7 hoop (this is the minimum size, larger hoops will work though you will waster stabilizer)
• USB stick that works on your machine (double check this before class)
• Pencil & Frixion marking pens
• Rotary cutter
• 6″ double curved scissors for trimming applique’ elements
• 14″ or 15″ ruler
• 4″ x 14″ ruler
• Straight pins
• Presser feet:
  • walking foot
  • embroidery foot
  • 1/4 foot
• Pressing cloth
• Pressing stick
• 505 spray
• 1/4″ Steam a Seam 2
• Bobbin Fill
• Patience
• Embroidery threads for these elements (a fabric kit for this project will be provided, if you need a photo of the fabrics, please call the store ahead of time):
  • Two complimentary thread colors for the lettering
  • Bunny: body, eye & tail thread colors
  • Grass
  • Flowers
  • Flower centers
  • Three colors for the tulips
• Crisp, medium weight (1.5 ox) tearaway stabilizer
• 12″ x 36 Decor Bond Pellon #809

Teacup or Cloud coaster/trivet — All items listed above plus everything listed below.  No fabric kit will be provided.

• 210mm X 240mm hoop (8.25″ x 9.5″), if you have one and want to make the trivet size
• Poly or nylon mesh, cutaway stabilizer

Cloud, large:

• 1-9″ x 13″ fabric
• 1-9″ x 12 1/2″ each batting and Insulbrite (or fleece or two layers of batting)
• 2-9″ x 7″ fabric, one 9″ side pressed under by 1/2″

Cloud, small:

• 1-6 1/2″ x 10″ fabric
• 1-6 1/2 x 10″ each batting and Insulbrite (or fleece or two layers of batting)
• 2-6 1/2″ x 51/2″ fabric, one 6 1/2″ side pressed under by 1/2″

Teacup:

• 1-6 1/2″ x 9″ fabric
• 1-6 1/2″ x 9 each batting and Insulbrite (or fleece or two layers of batting)
• 2-6 1/2 x 5″ fabric, one 6 1/2 side pressed under by 1/2″

When: February 9th and 10th, Friday and Saturday

Time:  9:30 – 4:30 all days

Cost:  $180.00; fee includes light lunch (2 days) and instructor fee.

Kit Fee:  included in class fee for the wall hanging: kit fabric will not match below, you will have options to select from.

For the second project, this is an opportunity to check through your stash and find something to compliment your decor

Please note the start time of the class, out of respect and courtesy for all attending, plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early so that you might be set up and ready to go at the start time.  If you need any assistance moving, loading, and setting up your machine, please let us know.

Please note:  Classes must be paid in advance, you are placed on wait list until class fees are paid.  Cancellations will be accepted until 10 days prior to class, you may be offered the option of store credit or refund.  Miss D’s will work with you every way possible.  No refunds or store credit available after this date.
