Turtle Applique with Susan, Saturday, July 26th

This is a great class to learn machine applique while creating a really cute Turtle Wall Hanging.  We recommend using batik fabrics to achieve a natural, interesting design for your turtles.  Since this is your masterpiece, feel free to bring bling and embellishment to create even more attention grabbing features for your wall hanging.

What to bring:

• Sewing Machine (don’t forget the power cord and foot pedal)
• Open Toe ZigZag foot and regular sewing foot
• Jeans needle or top stitch
• Scissors
• Thread:  Natural color, colors that will blend with your fabric selection
• Check your stash for: 1/2 yard border fabric, 1/2 yard for the “water”, 1/2 fabric for the backing, binding and inner border, scraps for the turtles, seaweed and coral (this is where the batiks really add interest).
• 1/8 yard heat and bond
• Any bling you might want to add to your wall hanging
