Intermediate Free Motion Quilting, Saturday, March 4th, 1:30 – 4:30
March 4, 2023 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
$50.00Do you love whole cloth quilts? And would love to learn how to create a whole cloth quilt?
So lets create some designs that would work for this process. It will be a custom design that you
created with your quilting style. You will then go home and stitch out this beautiful creation.
Supplies: 1 Yard of beige or white muslin, a water soluble marker, Grid paper, ruler, pencil, and
Golden threads paper.
The first Friday and Saturday of each month Miss D’s offers you an additional option for expanding your quilting experience. Iris, an award winning quilter and Handi Quilter Certified instructor, will be here for hands on quilting. On Saturday afternoons, it will be all about free motion quilting on the long-arm for anyone with the desire to expand/increase their hand guided or ruler work skills. Plus, projects which can be completed on the long-arm will included in the course. On Saturday afternoon you will review topics from the prior month and will be guided through new projects that are intended to build upon the prior month topics.
The class is open to everyone regardless of machine brand you own. Attendees in this class should have prior experience in hand guided and ruler work. Iris will discuss various topics throughout the day including thread, tension, fabrics, patterns, rulers and various techniques. She will be able to answer your questions which are machine independent.
This is a hands-on class for anyone who has experience with hand guided long-arm quilting, so be prepared to practice what you learn in class. Sometimes there might even be some fun homework assignments.
Don’t have a long-arm but want to learn about them to make a well-informed decision before buying (remember, we are here to help with your purchase with great prices and support) or interested in renting our long-arm to complete your own quilt then this class is for you.
Class fee includes a light lunch, so it is important we have a count of students at least 1 day prior to the event.
Please note the start time of the class, out of respect and courtesy for all attending, plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early so that you might be set up and ready to go at the start time. If you need any assistance moving, loading, and setting up your machine, please let us know.
Please note: Classes must be paid in advance, you are placed on wait list until class fees are paid. Cancellations will be accepted until 14 days prior to class, you may be offered the option of store credit or refund. Miss D’s will work with you every way possible.
